Week 18

Nothing much to report around here as we are comfortably in the second trimester. Britt is feeling a little more like her old self these days, though she takes offense to the notion that you feel great in your second trimester. I think she would describe the way she feels as "eh". The cravings have also started. Britt has had strong cravings for fettuccine alfredo (yum), rice with cream of mushroom soup (yuch), and ground beef tacos hold the taco seasoning (???). As for me, I am regularly demonstrating my lack of training as a future parent. Case and point, we went stroller shopping this weekend to test drive a few beauties. The stroller store had an 8 pound dummy to place in strollers to get a feel for a stroller with a baby on board (Britt, a 10 1/2 pound baby, was gobsmacked at the size of the thing. Connie you are a superhero). At one point I decided to really explore one of the models and made an attempt to collapse the stroller. I was as shocked as the 6 people staring at me that I successfully folded up the stroller on the first try. Then I realized why everyone was staring at me silently laughing and fully judging. A little arm was dangling from the nicely folded up stroller. Thats right. I folded the baby up in the stroller...easily.
